Young Persons Community Educator

‘The Voices of Change Project’ has been funded for 3 years by Children in Need.

The post holder will carry out early intervention through peer-informed, culturally competent awareness sessions on sexual violence, domestic abuse, coercive behaviours, and healthy relationships, aligning with the PSHCE curriculum. These are delivered in safe, trusted community spaces including leisure centres, faith-based venues, youth groups, and sports clubs, alongside your team of young Ambassadors.

Young Person’s Worker (with safeguard duties)

Reporting to: Chief Executive

Salary: TERM TIME salary (pro rata) – £22,098

Hours: 20 hours per week – Monday to Friday 

Holidays: Term Time only contract – 39 working weeks

Do you have the natural ability to form a trusting relationship with young people? With your experience and our extensive training you will be supporting young victims of sexual abuse through one-to-one trauma informed emotional support. 

This role would suit someone requiring term time hours, with a job share situation meaning you are a part of a team.
